The Stumble Inn

Catering for those with a flavour for underground dance sounds in a laid back feel good party environment. Expect deep house, techno, garage and a little bit of disco thrown in for good measure.

Saturday: GIST AND MAGMA

Gist, Essex's brand-spanking bastion for high-end dance music, is bringing the beats to Brownstock Festival. Buzzing from bringing Dirtybird's Claude VonStroke, Eats Everything, Subb-an, Matt Tolfrey, Laura Jones and Sam Russo to Hooga Chelmsford, the next naughty soiree will take place in a cheeky little tent on the green fields of Morris Farm.

Headed up by deep house duo No Artificial Colours, plus special guests, the tent will be hosted by the Gist Residents in association with Magma London, the promotion responsible for the back rooms of the finest warehouses terrorising the capital – most recently Cocoon Heroes, Jaded, Leftroom and Drumcode.

Starting out with funkier, sun-induced sonics that'll graduate towards gritter, more nocturnal dancefloor sounds, it'll offer the groove-ready collective a journey from disco, funk & soul towards house, future garage and into techier territory after dark.

With its trademark visuals, lights and crisp Funktion One kicking up dust inside an intimate marquee for 300, this is one hidden corner of the festival you won't regret stumbling upon. See you on the grassfloor!

Sunday: Be part of it (BPOI)

Be part of it (BPOI) known throughout Essex and London for jamming parties, upfront and non-commercial music and big atmospheres. Having held a weekly party at one of Chelmsford’s leading bars and hitting capacity for over a year we thought who better to invite along to host a tent at this year’s Brownstock.

BPOI pushes genres including rnb, hip hop, house, deep, nu-disco, electro, tech, basement, garage, grime, reggae and 80's. Djs include Liam Bone, Rob bishop, Jiggy G, Skyhigh and live percussion from Sam Lashmar.

We assure you Sundays stumble inn tent will be rocking from start to finish, make sure your part of it.
