As well as the obvious and brilliant option of watching some great music on our main stage, we thought that it would be good to share our view of the best ways to make the most of the day at the festival. So here goes… these are 10 of our favourite things to do in the day at Brownstock.

1. Get involved in a Saloon Bar hoedown

The Brownstock Slippery saddle saloon will be open for business all through the weekend. Pull up a saddle topped bar stool, feet in the stirrups and get ready for some of the best country music you will hear anywhere in the area while sipping a whiskey.

2. Visit The Young Farmers for tug of war and welly wanging

Brownstock wouldn’t be Brownstock without a visit from the Essex Young Farmers Club. Last year saw tug of war competitions, cow doodling and welly wanging competitions.

3. Rum cocktails in The Pirate Bar

New for this year is the Brownstock Pirate Bar. Rum cocktails here you come. No photos yet of course as it is all new, but we will need your help to choose the featured cocktails soon as we couldn’t do that without you!

4. Get your chops round a Brownstock Burger

Every burger on the Brownstock Festival site is made with beef from the farm. So no matter where you head at the festival you can be sure you are eating the very best Aberdeen Angus beef with 0 food miles. Here is a prize burger from The Twisted Burger Company, one of the burger stalls booked for Brownstock this year.

5. Put your feet up in the Brownstock Bird’s Nest

Want somewhere cosy to have a seat and enjoy your cider. Why not head to one of our birds nest seats in front of The Treehouse Stage. There is no better place to decide which new bands you like the sound of.
