The Stages
The Main stage
Where it goes down. This is where you will find the higher profile acts on the bill.
Previous acts: Example, Labrinth, Athlete, Futureheads
The Good Shed
Our biggest indoor stage..
Previous acts: Grandmaster Flash, Zane Lowe, The Cuban Brothers, Ms Dynamite, Pendulum
The Treehouse Stage
The Treehouse stage is returning this year. Handbuilt by Anna Brown into 2 of the old oak trees in the Brown Farm Festival field, The Treehouse stage will be a platform for more upcoming DJs and bands. And what a view they will have, high up in the trees looking down over the festival. Expect a complete mixture of genres and entertainments.
Piano Bar
The Piano Bar, run by our friend James, found of PianoDJ UK, was new for the 2011 festival. Just for our campers, in the festival campsite, this bar is the “local”. Think overgrown sitting room with sofas, homemade cake, board games, the Sunday papers and a beautiful shiny black grand piano.
News on Brownstockers favourites: Tenbomb art camp, The Stumble Inn, The Park and some new exciting areas yet to be announced!
The Bars
We have our main bar located in the main arena and another bar situated in the Piano Bar in the campsite, not to mention the exclusive VIP bar situated with a view of the main stage, for access to this you will need to purchase a VIP ticket.
Water
There’ll be plenty of water points surrounding the campsites but make sure you bring a container to fill up (and a bar of soap is also useful)! There’s also mineral water at the bar.
Food stalls
Growing on last year there will be a variety of food stalls catering for all tastes (including vegetarians and vegans). They’ll be open from the crack of dawn right through to the early hours of the morning.
Toilets
We are proud of our toilets and have even been nominated for a “Best Toilets” award! You will find plenty of toilets located on site. Our friends from Mobile Thrones will also be offering luxury toilets for a nominal fee for access to these toilets you can either pay as you go or purchase a weekend pass for next to nothing! VIP ticket holders will have access to the luxury toilets in the VIP area for no extra charge.
Litter and Recycling
As you may know, Brownstock prides itself on being green. All of the bins on site are part of our recycling initiative so please help us and try to use them effectively.
Cash Points
There will be cash points on site again this year, although they will charge you for the privilege of taking their money, so we recommend you bring cash with you, most banks just love to give it away!
